Vanessa L. Frizzell

Vanessa Frizzell joined Key Murray Law as an associate after completing her summer term and articles with the firm. She is excited to begin her practice with a team that reflects her values of collaboration, community, and client-focused services.

Vanessa earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Biology and Psychology from the University of Prince Edward Island before obtaining her law degree from the University of New Brunswick. Vanessa is building a general practice and has a particular interest in litigation, including family law, criminal law, aboriginal law, administrative law, and wills and estates. She is especially drawn to advocacy-based work and is passionate about representing clients and helping them feel heard and understood throughout their legal journey.

Vanessa approaches her work with empathy, honesty, and strong communication. She prides herself on building trust with clients, maintaining open and transparent communication, and ensuring clients feel informed and supported.

Born and raised in Charlottetown, Vanessa values the opportunity to practice law in the community she calls home. She appreciates the unique role lawyers play in shaping and supporting local communities and is motivated by the ability to contribute to the Island where she grew up.

Outside of the office, Vanessa enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly at the beach, as well as staying active through yoga and Pilates.
